Training Course on Health Economy in Shiraz

Health economy training course conducted through collaboration of NPMC and Treatment Department of Shiraz University of Medical sciences for hospital Managers. Main components of this course were as following topics:
Dr Imanieh, the chancellor of the university participates in the opening session of the course. He emphasized on practical approach of training program to deal with managerial problem within health organization. Therefore in order to cover this objective , during 4 days workshops through coordination among coordinators of the course, Dr Sharifi, & Dr Shafei and the designer, senior trainer of the course, Dr. K. Ashjaei, tried participants to be involved in discussion and group working in order to share their knowledge, information as well as their experiences.
Because of limitation in resources in context of health organization and related problem, this course focused on three
strategies including:
strategies including:· improving technical efficiency
· reallocating ( Allocative efficiency)
· within the health sector
· between the health and other sectors
· increasing total funds available by new revenue generating methods
Group working and discussion session based on real example from hospital financial issues used to share knowledge
among participants. Icebreaking also used to more clarification or to support of discussion.
